Mid-range Barcelona hotel in quiet street, minute from the Ramblas
If someone wants to be in the very middle of all the action of Barcelona, the 3-star Hotel Moderno BCN is a great choice. It’s just 20 meters off from the city’s liveliest and most famous joint, the Rambla – you can actually see it from the balcony of some of the rooms. Despite the closeness of the Ramblas, the hotel is quiet at night, as it stands in a little quiet street.

The rooms are simple, modern and functional. You have everything you need, including air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms and rooms are well kept, and the staff at the reception is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. A hearty buffet breakfast is included in the price and on the street level there is an excellent restaurant serving great Catalan, Spanish and international cuisine.
The hotel is very popular and gets steadily good reviews on various forums – the secret is in the combination of location, friendliness and price. It’s a great mid-range hotel in one of the best possible places, and people who stayed here once tend to come back – as friends.
