Quiet, modern and charming budget option at the Eiffel Tower
Located in the quiet 15th district close to Paris’ top attraction, the Eiffel Tower, Hotel Beaugrenelle Saint Charles is conveniently located as a base to see the city, yet at a significantly cheaper price than hotels in more fashionable locations. The Seine, Trocadero, the Bois de Boulogne and lively and very Parisian Montparnasse are all within easy reach, and so is the Port de Versailles Exhibition Centre, making the hotel an ideal place to stay for business travelers as well as general tourists.
The hotel is in a new building and is modern throughout – at the same time it has that uniqe charming Paris boutique hotels feel. A big and comfortable lounge area provides a pleasant communal space to relax, read papers or chat with fellow travelers, and if one needs any help the staff is always around. The rooms come in different styles and colors, with each having its individual character, but they all looked charming, contemporary and elegant. The rooms are well-equipped with all the modern day amenities such as Wi-Fi and satellite TV, similarly to most hotels these days, but to my surprise there is air-conditioning as well, which is rare in 2-star hotels.
Hotel Beaugrenelle is a budget hotel as far as prices concerned, but the quality of service and charm is of a true Paris boutique hotel. Convenient, fairly central and quiet location, ideal for those who don’t want to be right in the center of all the action, but quite close to it.
