A tasteful contemporary design hotel in a great location
Located just a block from the Grands Boulevards, Hotel Aston is in a prestigious part of the 9th arrondissement. It is a convenient base to visit the sights of Paris: the Opera, the Bourse, the Louvre or the Sacré-Coeur basilica are within walking distance, and there are many excellent cafés, restaurants and bars right around the hotel. The famous Grands Magasins – the luxury department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps – as well as other boutiques, are also close-by, making it a perfect location for shopping as well.
Originally a bourgeois town house, the building has been beautifully transformed into a modern, elegant 3-star designer hotel. The reception and lounge area is elegant in a classic way, very much like how it must have been in those days when members of Paris’ upper class lived in the house.
The rooms, however, represent a very different style. Very bright with white color dominating, the décor is simple, with a few colored items – a red curtain, lamps and a contemporary painting – giving it a beautiful, tasteful character. The emphasis is on overall harmony, and it is a good example of “less is more” as far as design concerned. Equipped with all the modern requirements of a great hotel – including air-conditioning – the rooms are very comfortable. The en-suite bathrooms are also very stylish, contemporary and spotlessly clean.
And all this comes at a very reasonable price – with a double starting at around 100 euros a night, not only is Hotel Aston a great hotel, but also very good value!
