Everyone to the Restaurant!

From September 19 to 25, France is hosting Fête de la Gastronomie, a week-long food festival across the country, offering special two-for-one deals at participating restaurants. From simple bistros to prestigious Michelin-starred establishments a wide selection of restaurants will take part in the event.

The initiative was launched by Secretary of State for Tourism, Frédéric Lefebvre, to celebrate French cuisine and UNESCO’s addition of the French gastronomy to their list of World Intangible Heritages.

Another gastronomic event called “Tous au Restaurant” – meaning Everyone to the Restaurant – will be part of the festival, hosted by celebrated chef Alain Ducasse on September 23.
